Terms and Conditions
Our Change of Mind Policy does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which provides you with consumer guarantees that we cannot restrict. If your product is not of acceptable quality, does not fit its intended purpose, or differs from its description or sample, you may be eligible for a refund, exchange, or compensation for any decrease in the product’s value (if you choose to keep it).
For products with a major fault, you have the right to choose between a replacement or a refund. For products with a minor fault, we may choose to offer a free repair instead of a replacement or refund. More information is available from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
Merchandise returned under consumer guarantees must be returned within a reasonable timeframe and must include proof of purchase.
Please choose merchandise marked as seconds or sample products carefully, as these items cannot be returned for the fault identified at the time of purchase. If a seconds or sample product has a different fault, is not fit for purpose, or is incorrectly described, it can be returned in accordance with the above consumer guarantees.
Our customer service team cannot review worn or used items via email or phone. All items must be physically returned in-store to be processed according to the procedure detailed below.
Please choose customised or personalised products carefully, as these items cannot be returned for ‘change of mind purposes’ only where goods are deemed faulty or not fit for purpose where it can be returned in accordance with the above consumer guarantees.
Refund and Exchange Policy
- Change of Mind Returns
- Items must be in their original condition and accompanied by proof of purchase.
- Items must be unworn, unwashed, unused and in original condition with all tags attached.
- Items are not customised or personalised
- Returns for refunds are accepted within 14 days from the original purchase date.
- Items returned after 14 days are eligible only for exchange or store credit in the form of a gift card.
- Non-Returnable Items
- For hygiene reasons, underwear, socks, drinkware and other personal items cannot be returned unless they are faulty.
- Customised / personalised items cannot be returned unless they are faulty.
- Faulty Items
- If an item is deemed faulty, it may be covered by guarantees under Australian Consumer Law.
- For minor faults, we may choose to repair, replace, or refund the item.
- For major faults, we will offer a refund or exchange.
- Faults due to misuse may void the faulty goods policy.
- In the absence of original proof of purchase faulty goods will be refunded at current instore value
- Refund Process
- Refunds will be issued using the original payment method. If the original payment method is unavailable, a gift card will be provided.
- In the absence of original proof of purchase faulty goods will be credited at the current instore value.
- Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash.
- Statement of accounts will not be considered as proof of purchase in the absence of a receipt.
GIFT CARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- LIDS HOLDINGS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD Gift Cards are only redeemable for goods at Lids Australia Stores and are not redeemable for goods at any other website or retailer who stock LIDS HOLDINGS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD products.
- Redemption
- Amounts shown on LIDS HOLDINGS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD Gift Cards are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and the dollar value includes GST. Value redeemed is deducted from the Card Balance.
- LIDS HOLDINGS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD Gift Cards cannot be refunded or used to obtain cash.
- To redeem your LIDS HOLDINGS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD Gift Card at Lids Australia Stores, present your card at a store. No change will be given: any remaining balance on the card can only be used in whole or part against future purchases.
- No discount or promotion can be applied to purchase a gift card.
- A LIDS HOLDINGS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD Gift Card is valid for three (3) years from the date of purchase. To check the status of your gift card, please contact present your gift card in store.
- Loss or damage
- To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to replacing faulty gift cards.
- We will not replace any lost or stolen gift cards, or gift cards damaged by acts or omissions of you or a third party.
- If your gift card is lost or stolen, you should immediately contact us so we can cancel the gift card. This does not oblige us to replace your lost or stolen gift card.
- Treat your Gift Card like cash. Lost or stolen cards will not be replaced or refunded.
- Liability
- We are not liable to you or anyone else for any losses suffered or incurred due to a delay in delivery of your gift card.
- We reserve the right to cancel any gift card for any reason and at any time, without notice to you. If we do so, we will provide you with a refund or a replacement gift card equal to the balance on the cancelled gift card, unless the reason for cancellation was for suspicions of fraud or illegal activity.
- Refunds
- All refunds will be processed via the original payment method. If you would like to return a product that was purchased using a LIDS HOLDINGS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD Gift Card, your refund will be credited in the form of another LIDS HOLDINGS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD Gift Card. Costs of delivery, if any, will not be included in the refund.
- Your LIDS HOLDINGS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD Gift Card may only be used to make purchases up to the initial Gift Card value or the remaining Gift Card value. If you wish to make a purchase for an amount that exceeds the Gift Card value or the remaining Gift Card value, you must pay the excess using another payment method.
- Variations
- We may vary these terms and conditions from time to time.
- Any variations will be effective upon the posting of the revised terms and conditions on our website.
- Your continued use of a Gift card after the posting of the revised terms and conditions constitutes your agreement to the revised terms and conditions.
